About us…
We are a family farm on a large acreage in South Nanaimo, on Vancouver Island, BC, in a rural setting that backs onto a majestic 300 acre park and lake. We are a community of like minded members that are living and learning to farm together peacefully and contributing to our community while being sovereign in growing our own food.
We spent 2020 in deep planning around social eco-system design, regenerative structures, Governance and ownership structures before purchasing the land in 2021. Currently, we are regenerating the soil and building the farm and its membership. We love this land and have deep reverence for the natural world around us.
EarthSong Mission
We will accomplish our vision together by farming organically, embracing spiritual practice and living in deep gratitude. Through self-responsibility and conscious communication, we create harmony, living in reciprocity with Nature, each other and our neighbours. We participate by working and playing collaboratively while having fun, supporting each others gifts, the local economy and by being a family together where all voices are heard.

Initial investors & community
Bringing together a core team of initial investors & those ready to live on the land, we’re currently welcoming in a few more land share partners into this exciting venture.
Our current leadership team is a robust group of skills in building, marketing, communications & personal relationships development along with leadership.

Living on land together.
We worked with a law firm and 2 organizational consultants to create our agreements and ownership model together. We have developed our core team and created a solid foundation of mutual respect and roles. Lived on land together for the first year to really co-create the next phases of our project.

Finalize Charter/Mission/Vision & Values
We have workshoped a strong Vision and Mission for ourselves living on land together for the first year to really co-create the next phases of our project.
We have formalized our EcoFarm structure with a detailed 40+ document outlining our Governance structure, financial model, investment structure along with community policies.

Growing our community
We are growing this community with care, time and energy - we endeavour to create harmonic resonance for everyone with clear roles and inclusive participation. With consensus models of decision making, we avoid power over and work and play collaboratively. We look forward to building a longer dinner table as time goes by.

How to join our budding community
Contact Us
First things first - we want to hear more about you, your visions, intentions and desires for joining this project. As well as prior background, skills and experience you feel aligns with the EarthSong Community Land Project.
Review & Call
We’ll review your submission and contact you for a brief phone chat to get a sense of our aligned needs, desires and energy along with sending you an information package on the property, the investment/ownership structure and current progress. This is a great way to ask questions on our current progress + development, as well as anything else we’ll want to chat about. You’ll then be invited to join our community call and actively listen in - getting to meet our current members and how we flow as a group.
3. Meet & Greet
After checking in with everyone and feeling into if there’s a COLLECTIVE YES! we’ll set up a meet & greet in person (or on Zoom depending on locations) to gather as a community and plan our next steps together.
